Biaxial oriented polymer films have several advantages over untreated films. Biaxial orientation is achieved by treating the raw polymer film on special machines that perform stretching/elongation in the direction of the material and perpendicular to it. Such polymers are used for highly transparent packaging films, multilayer films, synthetic papers, high gloss films, labels and more.

Lubrication of machine parts in film stretching lines such as extrusion lines, chains and bearings is complicated due to many factors.
